Updated: Sep 16, 2024

(A Cozy Guide to Conquer Autumn Illness!)

Hey beautiful people, it’s V here—your go-to life coach—delivering the inside scoop on dodging the sick bug this Fall 2023. Guess what? I’m in bed, and I'm not having a self-care day; I'm actually sick! Yep, me, the epitome of wellness is down for the count. Below, you'll find a handful of tried-and-true remedies to send that pesky illness packing.

1. Warm Water, Lemon, and Honey—Oh My!

Every morning since I've been under the weather, I've had this magical elixir. Why? Because science says so! Lemon is like the VIP guest at the Vitamin C party, boosting your immune system. And honey? It’s the bouncer at the club of your body, keeping the bad bacteria out. Add chamomile, and it's like you’re at a spa!! Trust me, it works and you won't regret incorporating this into your morning routine.

2. Lunchtime Extravaganza: Salad & Soup

For lunch, I whip up a salad full of pineapples and berries shrimp and crutonns. It's not just a tropical vacay on a plate; these fruits are antioxidant powerhouses! They're like the ninjas that take down the nasty bugs invading your system. Add some warm soup to the mix and you're basically bulletproof.

3. The Garlic Clove Chew Challenge

I know, garlic is the stuff of romantic nightmares, but hear me out! I chop up a clove and chomp down. Why? Garlic’s got this amazing thing called allicin, nature's antibiotic. Not only does it fight off the bad guys, it helps me breathe when my nose is stuffier than a Thanksgiving turkey.

4. Turmeric or Ginger Shot: The Wellness Firecracker

When I can’t stand the thought of more garlic, I grab a ginger shot from the local store. It’s like a mini fireworks show for your immune system! Of Course you can make this yourself but if you don't have time like me, you canna always order delivery!

5. Saltwater Gargle: A quick gargle reduces inflammation and tells that sore throat to take a hike. Every night before go to sleep I do a saltwater gargle. The science is simple: the salt water creates an osmotic effect that draws fluids from your oral tissues, reducing inflammation. What's the bonus? It clears up my nose faster than you can say "beauty sleep," making sure I can actually breathe when I lay down to catch those Z's. It's like setting the stage for a night of fabulous dreams and uninterrupted sleep.

So, lovelies, these are my top five remedies that have stood the test of time and are my autumnal lifesavers. Put these tips into action, and you'll be strutting your stuff in no time—no sniffles allowed.

Until next time,

 Victoria S🌟
